Aged Rum

Often referred to as a Gold Rum, an Aged Rum is one that has been aged in white oak barrels before bottling. As the Rum continues to age, it draws more and more color and flavor from the wood, adding both body and complexity to the finished product. Aged Rums can be sipped neat or added to cocktails. They fall somewhere in between White and Dark Rums in terms of their respective strength of flavor.

  • Centenario 7 Yr Anejo Especial

    Centenario 7 Yr Anejo Especial

Ron Centenario is an award-winning and time honoured expression of Costa Rica: its history, its beauty, and its rich Spanish-style rum tradition. Proud to be independently owned and operated, Ron Centenario produces some of the world’s most compelling solera system rums. The rum is painstakingly blended by their Master Blender, slowly matured in traditional soleras, and carefully bottled in the high-altitude climate of Costa Rica’s Meseta Central.

    Distillers notes:

A bright and fruit-driven blend of rums aged for up to 7 years in white American oak casks. This rum has notes of fresh red apples, pressed cider, green guava juice, fresh grass, and green melon. The finish has elements of cooked pineapple, honey, and cappuccino. Slightly sweet, this rum can certainly be enjoyed neat or with spring water or ice. Additionally, this rum is ideal to combine with fresh citrus, coconut, or other tropical fruit juices.

  • Burla Negra Rum

    Burla Negra Rum

We are proud to launch Burla Negra from today. For one month only we will reduce the price from €28 to €24, whilst stocks last.

Burla Negra Rum is made with a blend of Caribbean rums, and finished in casks that previously held Albariño wine. This one’s got a subtle saltiness to it, and that’s not an accident. It’s in reference to how pirates would bring casks of rum onto their ships, and once empty, they would be filled with seawater and use it like a ballast – imparting saltiness to the cask, and in turn imparting saltiness to whatever would be held in it next.

Tasting Notes:  Salted caramel, fresh papaya, ginger, mint and lemon.

With this rum, we would recommend using Original Ginger Beer.

With a 70cl bottle of rum, we would suggest buying 10 (0.20cl) bottles of ginger beer.  You don’t want the drink to be too weak.

    Teeda 5yr Aged Rum

From the Helios distillery in Okinawa, known for its delicious whiskies, comes a Japanese rum! Teeda is a blend of pot still rums, aged in bourbon barrels and bottled at five years old. There’s no caramel or any of that to be seen here, just pure delicious rum. Teeda is the Okinawan word for ‘sun’, which ties in very nicely with Helios and all that. We see what they did there.
